El británico Daniel McLay es el primer líder del Herald Sun Tour (Australia/2.1 UCI) después de ser el más rápido en el sprint masivo de la primera etapa. El corredor del Education First estrena al conjunto estadounidense en 2019 después de superar al noruego Kristoffer Halvorsen (Sky) y al holandés Wouter Wippert (Evopro).

La ronda cuenta con apenas 88 corredores de los que ninguno es español.
