El doblete del Belkin

El holandés Theo Bos y el australiano Graeme Brown hicieron doblete para el equipo Belkin al sprint en la 2ª etapa -entre Sungai Pitani y Taiping de 135 kilómetros- del Tour de Langkawi (2.HC) en Malaisia.

Una llegada que no fue del todo masiva por una caída en los últimos metros aparentemente sin consecuencias graves para los implicados. Andrea Guardini, Kenny Van Hummel y Francesco Chicchi fueron algunos de los principales afectados.

El colombiano Duber Quintero (Colombia) continúa como líder tras su victoria en la 1ª etapa.

Este sábado se celebra la 3ª etapa entre Kampar y la capital Kuala Lumpur sobre 166,5 kilómetros.

Theo Bos: «Ha sido un buen día para nosotros. Hacía más calor que ayer y eso nos vino bien. Me concentré en la rueda de Graeme Brown y a 200 metros, miré hacia atrás y vi que habíamos abierto una buena brecha. Esta temporada es diferente de la anterior para nuestro equipo. En 2013, tras la retirada de Rabobank, que teníamos que ganar lo antes posible y lo máximo. Funcionó bien, porque después de un período de incertidumbre, hicimos un buen Tour de Francia. Este año hemos cambiado el método, con más kilómetros de entrenamiento, con el fin de obtener grandes resultados en marzo y abril. Ésta es sólo nuestra segunda victoria después de la de Moreno Hofland en la Vuelta al Algarve el domingo, pero estoy seguro de tener una buena temporada» dijo a Jean-François Quenet en meta.
