Se acabó el Tour de Valonia con victoria de etapa y general para un mismo ciclista, el neozelandés Ben Oliver, del conjunto Modern Adventure. La carrera fue un auténtico caos, con multitud de saltos y sin una escapada del día como tal. En una de las más importantes se filtró Pelayo Sánchez. El asturiano de Movistar parece estar encontrando sensaciones de nuevo en un perfil de etapa que tampoco se le adaptaba. En los últimos kilómetros tomó el mando el Lotto de Arnaud De Lie, pero el belga apenas pudo pasar de la tercera posición. Ben Oliver lanzó el sprint y superó en meta a todos, firmando su segundo triunfo en esta carrera y añadiendo la general final.
