Jasper Stuyven (Trek Segrafredo) aspiraba a la victoria como gran favorito e hizo realidad los pronósticos, el rodador de Lovaina consiguió romper el grupo de cabeza a 1,1kms de meta tras un intento de Warren Barguil (Fortuneo) con el que Stuyven pudo contraatacar y ponerse en cabeza liderando un pequeño bloque de cinco corredores. Con su potente pedalada durante el muro final en la ciudadela de Namur pudo imponerse al sprint con absoluta facilidad. Segundo en meta, viendo como se alejaba progresivamante la rueda de Stuyven en el sprint, Dimitri Claeys (Cofidis) y el propio Barguil.
